In this
work, my intention was to do relics. I don't know if I chose the
wood or if it chose me. Since I found it casually, it caught all
my attention. It was an ancient girder, eaten capricious by the
termites. I began working on it, and felt that it was transmitting
its warmth, its smell, its nobility, its resistance, its peace,
its history. (Approximately 300 years).
As I went deep and deeper into my work; always leaving me to go
to the sensations that it was transmitting the wood this one revealed
its interior universe. A girder gives stability, support, and balance
to a house. Then my relics have the power to balance, and to stabilize
internally who uses them.
