'Voltino'
brooch in wood, lacquer, gold and copper leaf and fine silver

Marianne
Schliwinski
The forms are dominated
by the excellent proportions. The metal, each with another shape and
its surface are in a relation to the wood, which is well thought.
The form of the wood, its different curves gives the brooches their
name 'Voltino'. Curve and line realized in metal and wood, are linked
with small bowls and small staffs, related to their own temperament.
The sensible opposition between forms and materials is reduced by
using gold leaf and copper leaf, and it creates a double sense with
high tension.
