Sarah Lawrence
Following
her graduation in 1997 from Duncan of J ordanstone College of Art
& Design, Dundee, Sarah started work for Marks & Spencer
when they launched their first collection of real gold and silver
jewellery. Once this was established in store Sarah moved to a Leeds
based family jewellers located in the popular 'Victoria Quarter'
.
In
Spring 2000 Sarah developed her own collection of contemporary designer
jewellery and began working with Kath Libbert at her jewellery gallery
in Saltsmill, Bradford. Later that same year she became the first
jeweller in residence at the Yorkshire Craft Centre, Bradford.
After
her wedding in May 2001 Sarah extended her jewellery range into
the bridal market, launching her individual hand crafted tiaras
and coordinating accessories at the National Wedding Show at the
NEC, Birmingham.
Sarah
has also been teaching a jewellery making class since 2001 at the
Yorkshire Craft Centre, moving to Burley in Wharfedale in 2003.
In the autumn of 2004 Sarah went into partnership with fellow jeweller
EmmaJay and opened her first shop 'Pink Butterfly' specialising
in jewellery, gifts and accessories.
