Since graduating in 2002 from Camberwell, University of the Arts, London, with a degree in Ceramics, Nicola completed a two year residency at The University College Falmouth, Cornwall as part of the Craft's Council respected 'Next Move Scheme'.
She is now based in South London having also won a Crafts Council Development Award to set up her own practice.
Being small in stature, her work is absurdly large in scale. She explains this away with her ' short complex'. She also describes her work as "fragile things that I was never allowed to touch in shops".
Narrative plays an important part in her work, with an eclectic choice of imagery she is influenced by pop art, traditional ceramic techniques and all things English.
