Jed
Green
Jed Green designs
and makes jewellery using glass in combination with other materials
including silver, wood and pearls. She creates innovative contemporary
and exclusively handmade pieces.
Jed graduated
from The Slade School of Art having completed a BA (Hons) in Fine
Art and continued to develop her skills in printmaking at postgraduate
level.
Her commercial
work in printmaking and sculpture led to a series of exhibitions
in the UK and abroad. After looking at scaled down images of her
sculptures and realising a change of direction was developing, she
re-trained in order to translate her ideas into jewellery.
Jed used glass
in her early work and has always been fascinated in making what
is an everyday ordinary material into something precious, individual
and distinctive.
Jed is constantly
searching for new ways to express her creativity and inspirations
in glass. There is a fragility and lightness to her work and her
use of colour and form make each piece unique and eminently collectable.
