Deborah Rudolph

In my focus are geological drillings. They are used to reach the regions below the surface, which are not accessible with other methods. Firstly they provide a way to geological conditions underground to investigate directly, on the other hand it can also be used as a transport to bring materials to the surface (like oil or gas) or to sink it. For me this drillings show one basic instinct of the humankind to explore the environment, on the other hand it is a method to measure the ice thickness and to see the future development of our environment.
