Akiko Kurihara

Casual discoveries in the daily life, and small findings in the physical phenomena which we unconsciously use everyday.
I create jewelry pieces out of these discoveries using humor and wit in minimalistic ways.
I would like to challenge to expand the possibilities of the jewelry, even if they are small objects. And I expect that humor and wit in my work would connect me to a person wearing my piece, as well as to people seeing the piece.
