May 06 – June 06 Kathie Murphy Lewes, Sussex
Workshop assistant
I worked along side Kathie Murphy and assisted her in the production
of her resin jewellery. As well as
developing my knowledge of resin casting it also gave me a great
insight in what is in involved in
setting up as an independent jeweller. My role also included the
preparation and aesthetic design of her
stand at the annual Brighton Open Houses exhibition.

Assisting in the production and design of jewellery made from various
plastics and silver.

Studio assistant/ Installation production
I was a technician working in the production of one off bespoke
light installations, designed by Sharon
Marston, for private and commercial clients. Clients have included
Hugo Boss, Hilton and Carlton
hotels and House of Frasier.
March 06 – Sept 06 Rose English and Simon Vinchenzi London
Prop design technician
I worked with performance and visual artists Rose English and Simon
Vinchenzi on a collaborative
performance piece with Chinese acrobat contortionists. My role was
to produce a series of objects/
props to be used in these performances. (Associated with London
Artists Projects Ltd)

Jewellery workshop/teaching assistant
During my time working for Sarah King I helped out teaching a jewellery
evening class. I assisted the
students with designing and making pieces of jewellery made from
resin. Starting from carving a wax
master to casting in silicone moulds, filing and polishing the final
piece.

1999 – 2003 Menston Thespians Menston
For four years I was a member of Menston Thespians, a local theatre
group. Throughout this time, as
well as performing in the productions, I was involved with designing
and making the sets and helping
out in the makeup and costume department.
1999 – 2001 (July only) Menston Play scheme Menston
Responsible for looking after children (ages 10 under), organizing
and helping with different activities.
Such as jewellery making, face painting, arts and crafts.
