ALISON EVANS
Alison Evans is well known for her exquisite jewellery based around the techniques of chain mail. Her work is concerned with
touch and movement and how a hard material can be transformed
into a metal fabric with textile-like qualities, which falls and
moves naturally, so accentuating the curves of the human body.
All the links are made individually by Alison, using 18 carat gold
and silver wire; sometimes the chainmail section can be called a
'canvas', where decoration is added using precious, semi-precious
stones and pearls to create an interesting and beautiful collection
of necklaces, bracelets and earrings.
