Background information
After school I went to art college to study fine art then worked in graphic design consultancies for many years. Later I re-trained in Shiatsu and Oriental Medicine, worked as a Shiatsu practitioner and ran a training school. When injury and a young child necessitated a change of career and I ended up working locally in the NHS. I missed working creatively and after a year of evening classes in jewellery making I was hooked. I studied for a BTEC level 3 in Jewellery Making and supported this with master classes to learn particular skills. My fine art and graphic design background influences the way I approach pieces; mark making and drawing are integral elements in my work.
