My works are contemporary bobbin lace creations. They are made of stainless steel wire.
The combination of the interesting old crafts technique with the unusual material
offers great possibilities to me for making very special objects, expressing lightness and transparency.
Making bobbin laces has got a long tradition in the area where I was born, and so I learned it
when I was very young. When I studied textile design I began to look for very new ways of making
lace objects.
My floral jewellery objects are inspired by nature experiences.
I want the forms and textures to express growing and fading, opening and closing, frailty and tightness.
