Bespoke, Corn Exchange, Rochester. December 2007.
Organised by Medway Arts Council, this exhibition celebrated the
rich and diverse talent from Designer/Makers based in Medway and
the surrounding areas.
Great Expectations, UCCA Rochester. April 2008.
An exhibition to promote exemplary Minor Project work form the Applied
Arts and Silver, Goldsmithing and Jewellery degrees. This was a
student-based initiative, which I co-curated.
Liverpool Design Show, June 2008. Shortlisted to
final ten students for this national award.
Work
Experience
Sept 2005-present day
Student Representative for my degree course. Duties include dealing
with any student issues, representing the student body at all levels
across the University. I have also been specifically requested to
attend marketing meetings, Course Quality and Standards Board meetings
because of my professionalism and dedication. The Head of the School
of Design personally requested my input in
the setting up of a new BA (Hons) Contemporary Jewellery, during
which I was consulted on course units, reading lists and met with
the invigilators during the validation process.
Sept 2006- present day
Worked with Kate Brightman (contemporary jewellery designer/maker)
on a regular fortnightly basis. Duties included jewellery assembly,
polishing and finishing.
Sept 1998- July 2005
Volunteered at a local primary school on a weekly basis. Duties
included working with groups of children (age range 4-11) on a variety
of projects, including Design Technology, assisting the teacher
in the classroom.
June 1986-July 2000
Worked for B&Q plc in different roles, from weekend supervisor,
Admin Department Manager and Interior design Consultant.
