Lina Peterson
I aim to create intriguing and bold pieces of jewellery that play with relationships, be it the interaction between garments and jewellery or the juxtaposition of different materials.
The main focus of my work lies within the exploration of material qualities and combinations, allowing room for playfulness to enter the work. I draw inspiration from the construction of garments, the intimate feeling of the inside of a cardigan or the diffused back of a piece of embroidery. Pieces such as my ‘Collaged’ and ‘Stitched’ brooches bring such fragmented suggestions of garments into pieces of jewellery, often in combination with elements made from different materials such as plastics or metals.
